Britney Spears Clears the Air About Her Future in Music

Amidst swirling reports and eager speculation, Britney Spears has taken to social media to set the record straight regarding her musical career. Through a candid Instagram post, Spears addressed the buzz created by outlets such as Page Six and The Sun, which anticipated a new album from her, suggesting she’s been actively recording music for the first time since the release of ‘Glory’ in 2016.

‘Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash !!!’ Spears’ post emphasized, dispelling the prevailing hearsay. ‘They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry !!!’

Spears affirmed her engagement with music through a different facet, expressing her enjoyment in penning lyrics either casually or for other artists. Her literary creativity isn’t just confined to her Instagram posts; she shared intriguing facts about her musical endeavors in her book.

‘For those of you who have read my book, there’s loads that you don’t know about me … I’ve written over 20 songs for other people the past two years !!!’ Spears disclosed, also revealing her role as a ghostwriter, which she finds fulfilling.

Addressing another cloud of misinformation, Spears refuted claims that her book was distributed ‘ILLEGALLY’ and without her consent, pairing her words with the imagery of artist Guido Reni’s “Salome Bearing the Head of St. John the Baptist.”

While her overarching message was a departure from creating albums, Spears’ recent contributions to the music industry, including her collaborative single ‘Hold Me Closer’ with Elton John and her feature on Will.i.am’s track ‘Mind Your Business’, underline her ongoing presence in the music scene.

In her own penned memoir, Spears reminisced about the artistic process behind ‘Glory’, acknowledging it as a labor of love that renewed her self-assurance in her artistic talents—an endeavor that let her say confidently, ‘I got this.’
